Henna is a campaigner and organiser, with a background in party politics and anti-racist campaigning.

Before MMMM, Henna was national coordinator at Progress, where she ran a number of successful campaigns within the Labour party. More recently, she was involved in Keir Starmer’s leadership campaign, specifically on high-profile public events.

She is also part of #CharitySoWhite, a grassroots campaign tackling institutional racism within the charity sector.

In her spare time, she is trustee of Student Hubs (a charity supporting students to take social action) and Students Supporting Street Kids (supporting students to undertake fundraising and advocacy for street-connected children). She also volunteers for OxFizz, a social enterprise that supports access to higher education, and for the Young Fabians, engaging young people in Labour party policy development.
