This morning, though, we woke up to an early Christmas present! HSBC announced that they will no longer directly finance new oil and gas fields.
HSBC’s announcement is another nail in the coffin of fossil fuel expansion and now it’s time for other banks to step up – and for HSBC to keep going and set clear redlines for their clients on oil and gas expansion.
