Jo is a former Number 10 and DFID special adviser with a career spanning Parliament, government, international development and campaigns.

Jo held a wide variety of political roles, advising on international development including on issues such as energy and climate and human development. Since then, she has worked extensively on the Global Goals with the UN and Project Everyone – engaging with key stakeholders and finding new ways to communicate these issues to a broad audience.

As co-founder of Make My Money Matter, Jo hopes to catalyse a movement to help move trillions from investments which are ecologically destructive, socially divisive and economically unsustainable into those which drive the Global Goals and 2015 Paris Agreement.

Jo has been a volunteer with various charities, with a focus on children, and disabled and blind people – including volunteering in Sierra Leone, Rwanda, India and Cambodia.

She is mum to two young children and her retirement dreams revolve around them, but also the lives of the world’s poorest: if we can get even close to achieving the Global Goals Jo will retire happy.
