Santander is financing deforestation and the climate crisis
Last year, in the hottest year on record, Santander more than doubled the money they ploughed into companies behind new fossil fuels to nearly $10 billion. The bank has been named one of the world’s biggest financers to forest-risk sectors in South America one of the financers of the “world’s worst deforestation crisis” in Paraguay.

This year we’ve seen unprecedented heatwaves, forest fires and flooding, all while Santander have doubled down on their fossil fuel financing and are also a major financier of forest-risk sectors. Santander is using Ant & Dec to cover up its climate destruction. It’s time the Bank of Antandec shut up shop and cut ties with Santander.
